DAMJANIĆ WINES ON NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL
BRITISH MASTERCHEF DHRUV BAKER HAS STARTED FILMING THE FIRST MAJOR CROATIAN GASTRONOMIC TRAVELOGUE TO BE AIRED ON NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL
This year’s Vinistra, the international wine and wine equipment fair held in Poreč from May 13-15, 2016, began very interestingly with British MasterChef Dhruv Baker and the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL crew.
National Geographic aims to present Istria and Istrian wines, and in the show ‘Croatia’s finest by Dhruv Baker,’ they chose the Damjanić Wines stand at this year’s Vinistra! Chef Dhruv, winner of British MasterChef and owner of a restaurant and pub in London, explores only the best across Istria. Enologist Ivan Damjanić presented his premium wines, with which Dhruv was delighted. They started with Istrian Malvazija, which won a gold medal at this year’s evaluation, followed by the new Rosé Penelope and the excellent Borgonja. The show will be broadcast in 90 countries worldwide, with the first airing in June.
This year’s Vinistra recorded a record number of visitors. The new wine Rosé Penelope from Damjanić Winery garnered significant attention from wine lovers. Rosé Penelope, a Rosé made from the Borgonja grape variety, is a caressingly pale pink wine with aromas of wild strawberry and rose, and a light herbal finish.
As a reminder, Damjanić wines won two gold medals: one in the Istrian Malvazija category and another in other wine categories for a red blended wine.
